Electrical Engineer – Food Manufacturing

About the role

Prima Limited is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its food manufacturing division. The role involves designing, improving and maintaining electrical installations and automation lines to meet high standards of safety, reliability and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical design, installation and engineering projects for Prima Group businesses.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, end‑users and maintenance staff to commission production electrical and automation systems.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of all electrical and electronic equipment.
• Collaborate with the Group Automation Department on MCC control design for the Prima Flour Mill.
• Work with Procurement to source competitive electrical solutions and obtain LEW qualification for independent plant switching.
• Ensure fire prevention, personnel safety and compliance with safety regulations.
• Participate in the Group energy team to optimise energy efficiency in the new factory.
• Manage end‑to‑end project execution, including planning, design (AutoCAD 2D/3D), installation and commissioning.
• Provide hands‑on training for staff on new electrical equipment and systems.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in food & beverage or manufacturing.
• Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) certification is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with good interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in both Chinese and English.
