Electrical Engineer Intern

About the role

As an Electrical Engineer Intern you will support the design, production and testing of the electrical systems that power BeeX’s flagship Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicle and upcoming projects. Reporting to the Electrical Lead, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team both in the office and during sea trials.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team with vehicle design, system assembly and component testing, including PCB design, firmware development and power‑system integration.
• Manage production of electrical systems for robotic prototypes and build test circuits.
• Test sensors and circuit boards, document performance results and support customer‑facing product trials.
• Maintain logs of learning resources, test outcomes and project documentation.

Required profile

• Passion for product design and willingness to work in a fast‑paced startup environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary sub‑teams.
• Positive learning mindset with quick absorption of new knowledge.

Required skills

• PCB design and testing (Altium Designer or equivalent).
• Firmware development using C++ and Python.
• Embedded systems, microcontrollers, sensor and actuator interfacing.
• Battery‑operated power systems and wire‑harness design.
• Circuit design, component testing and power‑system integration.
