Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer – Chemical & Petrochemical

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to support our chemical and petrochemical operations on Jurong Island. The role involves planning and executing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, ensuring reliability of E&I systems, and supporting plant projects and turnarounds.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance for E&I equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot switchgear, MCCs, transformers, UPS, generators, VFDs, motors, PLC, DCS, SIS/ESD, HMI and SCADA systems.
• Manage calibration, loop checks, testing and system performance improvements.
• Lead E&I turnarounds, shutdowns, commissioning and startup activities.
• Support CAPEX projects, plant modifications and MOC processes.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors to ensure quality, safety and timely completion.
• Maintain compliance with HSE, regulatory and plant safety requirements.
• Oversee maintenance budgets, spare parts, inventory, technical documentation and CMMS records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, Control & Automation Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of E&I maintenance experience in chemical, petrochemical, polymer or manufacturing plants.
• Experience with electrical systems, instrumentation, DCS, PLC, SIS and industrial automation.
• Knowledge of reliability maintenance, RCFA, risk assessment and MOC processes.
• Proficiency in SAP PM, GSAP, CMMS or equivalent maintenance management systems.

• HMI, SCADA, SAP PM, GSAP, CMMS.
• Reliability maintenance, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), risk assessment, Management of Change (MOC).
