ELV Proposal Engineer

About the role

Azbil Singapore is looking for an ELV Proposal Engineer to develop competitive technical and commercial proposals for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) projects. The role involves reviewing tender documents, performing quantity take‑offs, estimating costs, and supporting project hand‑over after award.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse tender drawings, specifications, schedules and contracts to capture technical and commercial requirements.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and scope assessments for ELV systems such as BMS, CCTV, access control, structured cabling, public address and security.
• Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, datasheets and full technical/commercial proposals within tender deadlines.
• Source, evaluate and manage quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, and document clarifications, assumptions and exclusions.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, project teams, consultants, clients and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
• Support value‑engineering and cost optimisation while ensuring technical compliance.
• Assist with project hand‑over and provide commercial support during execution when required.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Building Services, Instrumentation & Control or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in ELV system estimation or quantity surveying.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and tender documents.
• Familiarity with ELV and smart‑building systems (BMS, CCTV, access control, structured cabling, public address, security).
• Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
