Embedded Software (Firmware) Internship

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is offering an Embedded Software (Firmware) internship in Singapore. The role is hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week spent working from an HPE office. The intern joins a team that designs, implements, tests and validates software for state-of-the-art networking products, and gains hands-on platform technical knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and gather project requirements, design sub-modules and investigate accordingly
• Identify risk factors and mitigate them
• Debug issues and derive fixes, then close them with the relevant parties
• Take part in technical discussions and help drive decisions forward
• Share technical proposals, justifications and regular progress updates with the team lead and manager
• Deliver tasks on time and ensure high-quality work

Required profile

• Able to commit 6 months full time
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Interest and ability to investigate issues and develop solutions
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated and eager to learn
• Team player able to work with global and cross-functional teams

Required skills

• Solid understanding of software development principles
• Experience with software development tools and processes
• Knowledge of C programming
