Engineer - PLN Operation Intelligence

About the role

Micron is looking for an Engineer in PLN Operation Intelligence. The role applies modelling, operations research, data analytics, machine learning and web application knowledge to improve the efficiency and capabilities of complex manufacturing operations. It also involves developing analytics, reporting solutions and scheduling optimisation, and communicating the approach and methodology to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Improve complex manufacturing operation efficiency and capabilities using modelling, operations research, data analytics, machine learning and web applications.
• Develop analytics, reporting solutions and scheduling optimisation, and communicate the approach and methodology.
• Gather requirements, estimate resources, manage time, engage stakeholders and deliver on project deliverables.
• Work with team members and stakeholders internally and externally, and join multi-area focus teams to improve manufacturing constraints.
• Present projects, approaches and data in meetings with stakeholders at different levels.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work, identify and share AI-enabled improvements, and comply with organisational standards and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science and Analytics, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Statistics or a related field.
• Knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is an advantage.
• Highly motivated, adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Effective communicator who collaborates across all levels.

Required skills

• Basic programming skills, preferably C#, Python and SQL.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure such as GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Data analytics, business intelligence and machine learning knowledge is a plus.
• Manufacturing operation, scheduling optimisation and capacity/cycle time modelling knowledge is a plus.
• Baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy.
