Engineer - Repair Development

About the role

The Engineer – Repair Development will lead the creation and qualification of repair and inspection technologies for aircraft jet engine components at GE Aviation Engine Services Singapore. You will work on translating customer data and reliability insights into robust repair processes that enhance engine availability, safety, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and qualify new repair and inspection technologies, including advanced manufacturing methods.
• Industrialize repair processes and deliver program outputs to repair facilities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external sources to solve technical challenges.
• Apply engineering judgment to propose solutions within guided parameters.
• Maintain in‑depth knowledge of gas‑turbine component repair disciplines.

Required profile

• Engineering background with experience in repair development or mechanical design of gas‑turbine components.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and ability to work independently.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical concepts.

Required skills

• Repair development (new repair procedures, advanced manufacturing, material science innovations).
• Mechanical design skills such as stress analysis, structural integrity evaluation, and mechanical failure analysis.
• Experience with gas‑turbine component repair, NPI/Product Engineering, or Process Engineering.
