Engineer / Senior Engineer, STPG PE (FDV-Infrastructure)

About the role

Micron is looking for an Engineer or Senior Engineer in Product Engineering, NAND Functional and Design Validation Infrastructure (FDV-Infrastructure). The role focuses on silicon validation, failure analysis and infrastructure development, with a strong emphasis on automation, data-driven validation and using AI to improve test efficiency, coverage and debug productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute functional and design validation flows for advanced RG NAND devices using silicon platforms
• Develop and maintain test program infrastructure, including deterministic usage-case tests, random sequence generators and new NAND interfaces
• Implement automation frameworks using C-based programming, Python and Perl to speed up test development and execution
• Apply AI/ML-assisted techniques (data analytics, pattern recognition, anomaly detection) to accelerate failure triage and root-cause analysis, identify coverage gaps and improve random sequence effectiveness and debug prioritization
• Use data-driven methods and dashboards to track validation progress, defect trends and release readiness
• Perform electrical failure analysis, root-cause investigations (digital and analog circuitry) and drive issue resolution with cross-functional teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong interest in design validation, characterization and product engineering
• Senior Engineer positions require at least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, effective written and spoken English, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

• Software development and scripting in C/C++, Perl and Python
• Application of AI/ML for test analytics and defect pattern analysis
• ATE test program development (e.g. Teradyne or Advantest) and/or memory products is an advantage
