Engineer / Senior Engineer - Tuas Port Reclamation

About the role

This role leads the planning, design, supervision and project management of major land reclamation and port development projects at Tuas Port. You will manage a team of Supervision Consultants who carry out construction management, contract administration and site supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Project planning, budgeting, drafting tender specifications and calling and awarding consultancy and construction tenders
• Lead project management and supervision of consultants on construction management, contract administration and site supervision
• Track work progress and manage expenditures, including progress claims and variation orders
• Handle technical matters and project issues on the Tuas Port construction
• Oversee quantitative analysis of schedule tracking of the Contractor's Programme of Works
• Deal with agency matters related to the Tuas Port project

Required profile

• Civil engineering training preferred
• At least 3 years' experience in civil engineering project management or site supervision of infrastructure projects is an advantage
• Registration with the Professional Engineers Board Singapore is useful
• Job title and grade commensurate with experience; selected candidates appointed on a 2-year contract

Required skills

• Well versed in the Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC) for construction works
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal and team management skills
