Engineering Director, Frontend Business Lead

About the role

OKX is seeking an Engineering Director to lead its frontend business teams across core verticals such as Trading and Payments. You will shape technical strategy, drive product delivery, and ensure the highest security standards for crypto‑focused user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Own the overall frontend organization, handling hiring, development, and pipeline building for trading, wallet, AI‑powered products, and payment integrations.
• Partner with Product, Backend, Security, and Compliance to deliver cross‑functional outcomes based on solid technical judgment.
• Lead design and implementation of core business features, balancing speed, quality, and user experience.
• Integrate AI considerations into product decisions and design, beyond mere productivity tools.
• Set and enforce engineering quality standards, especially around private‑key security, frontend attack prevention, and compliance auditing.
• Communicate technical value to engineers, product managers, and senior leadership, and represent OKX in industry events to attract top talent.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years managing technical teams.
• Strong full‑stack background with deep expertise in frontend technologies.
• Proven ability to make data‑driven trade‑offs between speed, quality, and business metrics.
