Engineering Excellence Lead

About the role

Resmed is running a significant multi-year transformation of its manufacturing facilities in Singapore and Malaysia. As Engineering Lead for the Manufacturing Excellence Program, you will provide technical leadership, set engineering standards and solutions, and work with value streams, engineering teams and senior stakeholders to deliver scalable, sustainable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering requirements across value streams and provide technical direction on globally scalable solutions.
• Partner with value stream owners and stakeholders to identify improvements and define future-state operating models.
• Drive operational excellence using Lean, Six Sigma, structured problem-solving, change management and program governance.
• Champion digital tools, manufacturing systems, automation, process standardisation and data-driven decision making.
• Set performance metrics, governance frameworks and benefit tracking to measure transformation success.
• Ensure initiatives meet medical device manufacturing requirements: quality systems, validation, process control, traceability and regulatory expectations.
• Influence senior leaders, coach and develop engineering and operations teams, and manage interdependencies and risks.

Required profile

• Proven background leading transformation in manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, operations or other regulated environments.
• Engineering leadership experience guiding technical teams and improving productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety or effectiveness.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Operations, Business, Supply Chain or a related field; postgraduate degree preferred.
• Knowledge of medical device manufacturing or highly regulated industries, including quality management systems, validation, process controls and compliance.

Required skills

• Lean, Six Sigma and change management understanding; certification preferred.
• Program management and data-driven decision making.
• Preferred: exposure to large-scale, multi-site manufacturing transformation programs.
