Engineering Executive / Assistant Engineer – Tuas South Incineration Plant

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Executive or Assistant Engineering Executive to join the Tuas South Incineration Plant team. The role ensures the plant’s boiler‑incinerators, turbogenerators and auxiliary equipment run safely, smoothly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safe, smooth and efficient operation of boiler‑incinerators and turbogenerators.
• Perform routine checklists, testing and change‑over of plant equipment.
• Prepare job cards and execute isolation and normalization of boiler and auxiliary systems.
• Troubleshoot minor faults and carry out frontline maintenance.
• Assist in coordinating boiler or turbine overhauls.
• Guide operators on refuse handling, ash handling and scrap recovery equipment.
• Perform shift duties, including night and rotating shifts.

Required profile

• Outgoing, pleasant personality with high motivation.
• Analytical mindset with good communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and foster teamwork.
• Willingness to work night duties and rotating shift patterns.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; 3‑5 years of relevant process/power plant experience preferred.

Required skills

• Nitec engineering certification.
• Boiler Attendant certification (advantageous).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
