Engineering Lead Analyst, Vice President

About the role

Citi is looking for an Engineering Lead Analyst, Vice President, a senior-level position based in Singapore. The role leads a range of engineering activities, including the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure, in coordination with the Technology team. Its main objective is to lead efforts that ensure quality standards are met within existing and planned frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders and give direction on firm-mandated controls and compliance initiatives, group projects and the technology domain roadmap.
• Ensure that all integrations of functions meet business goals.
• Define system enhancements needed to deploy new products and process improvements, and recommend product customisation for system integration.
• Identify problem causality, business impact and root causes.
• Advise or mentor junior team members and influence engineering decisions through advice, counsel and facilitation.
• Assess risk in business decisions, safeguarding the firm, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy and ethical standards, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues transparently.

Required profile

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in an engineering role.
• Experience in financial services or a large, complex and/or global environment.
• Project management experience.
• University degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.

Required skills

• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices.
• Analytic and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment with virtual teams, independently and under pressure, meeting tight deadlines.
• Proven track record of operational process change and improvement.
