Engineering Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Engineering team at Lonza is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the upkeep of manufacturing assets at the Tuas site in Singapore. This fully site‑based position ensures real‑time collaboration and technical precision required to produce medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee plant maintenance operations to guarantee equipment reliability, safety, and optimal production output.
• Lead daily, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities, coordinating schedules to minimise downtime.
• Motivate and coach a team of maintenance associate engineers, fostering operational success.
• Develop and implement maintenance programmes based on industry best practices, focusing on preventive and predictive strategies.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, SOPs and safety standards, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of equipment issues and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Support audits, investigations and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in an engineering discipline.
• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing maintenance.
• People‑management experience with the ability to lead and develop teams.
• Proven stakeholder‑management and interaction skills.
