Engineering Specialist IV

About the role

The Engineering Specialist IV will support our state‑of‑the‑art magnetic media manufacturing environment by ensuring target quality, coordinating logistics, and driving continuous improvement across production processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual and physical inspections on targets to identify abnormalities such as warping, surface roughness, or cracks and determine appropriate rework or disposition.
• Plan and coordinate logistics and target‑loading activities, including Design‑of‑Experiments (DOE) support for customized and new targets.
• Support machine configuration changes by initiating and following up on work requests for system updates or modifications.
• Verify and track inventory of targets at all stages – incoming, in‑process, and outgoing.
• Investigate and resolve target‑related issues, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records through proper file management.
• Coordinate sample preparation and submission to MSL or failure‑analysis laboratories.
• Review and update Quantity Per Assembly (QPA) data to ensure planning accuracy.
• Perform ad‑hoc assignments and support activities as required by operations or engineering teams.
