Equipment Engineer

About the role

STMicroelectronics is seeking an Equipment Engineer to provide technical expertise, support, and training to shift personnel on specific semiconductor manufacturing tools. You will ensure equipment reliability, safety, and continuous improvement across the production floor.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives by conducting Gemba audits, identifying risks, and promoting a safety‑aware culture.
• Manage new equipment startups and coordinate acceptance testing with vendors.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance (PM) procedures to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Create corrective maintenance (CM) procedures and troubleshooting guides for shift staff.
• Participate in cost, cycle‑time, quality, and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Define work instructions and operating procedures to align shop‑floor behavior.
• Problem‑solve equipment and process issues, perform data analysis, and report findings.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and vendors to drive tool improvements.

Required profile

• Degree in Microelectronics, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical or Material Science.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
