Equipment Engineer – Semiconductor Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Equipment Engineer to join our semiconductor manufacturing team. You will work on‑site across Singapore, supporting customers with equipment installation, maintenance and technical troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, and relocation of semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and system‑related issues, repairing or replacing defective parts as needed.
• Support equipment start‑up, testing, calibration and qualification after installation or maintenance activities.
• Implement engineering change orders, system upgrades and equipment modifications.
• Prepare accurate service reports, maintenance records and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with customers and internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Adhere to safety procedures while working in cleanroom environments and participate in on‑call standby duties, including travel to local or overseas sites.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting or repair of semiconductor manufacturing or mechanical/electrical equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics and technical manuals.
• Strong problem‑solving aptitude and good communication skills.
• Willingness to work shift patterns, standby duties and occasional overseas travel.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
