Equipment Maintenance Technician

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to support production operations in a cleanroom environment. You will ensure equipment reliability, perform preventive maintenance, and assist engineering teams to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Execute shift duties to support continuous production.
• Carry out preventive maintenance according to the PM schedule and specifications.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in production and maintenance areas.
• Assist engineers with evaluations, experiments, troubleshooting, and improvement projects.
• Provide equipment support to sustain operations with minimal breakdowns and repair time.
• Ensure work complies with ISO 13485:2003 and 21 CFR 820 requirements.
• Document PM results accurately and maintain data integrity.
• Participate actively in continuous‑improvement activities.
• Mentor new colleagues during their on‑the‑job training.

Required profile

• NITEC in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience; fresh diploma graduates may be considered.
• Willingness to learn, positive attitude, and strong teamwork orientation.
• Hands‑on technical competence and ability to work in a cleanroom (no hair products, jewelry, makeup, etc.).
