Equity Derivatives Java Developer (Assistant Vice President)

About the role

Citi is hiring a Java Developer (Assistant Vice President) in its Equity Derivatives team in Singapore. You will build high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade Java applications and improve existing trade capture and lifecycle applications so they meet business and regulatory needs. The role is full-time and hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Write high-quality, testable code following clean coding standards and SOLID design principles.
• Plan and schedule tasks and implement functionality with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot existing solutions and follow defined software development processes.
• Perform code reviews and coordinate deployment, testing and release of applications.
• Work independently while collaborating with team members and across projects, and assist with L3 escalations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience in a corporate environment.
• Experience with agile methods such as Scrum, Git and source control patterns.
• Experience with code quality tools (e.g. Sonar) and test pyramids, and with OOP, TDD/BDD, design patterns and SOLID.
• Experience designing and building APIs and integrating with modern web applications.
• Experience working in a global environment across time zones.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related major.

Required skills

• Advanced Java 8+, Core Java and Spring.
• SQL and at least one relational database (preferably Sybase or MS-SQL).
• REST API principles and messaging systems.
• CI/CD toolchains, debugging and testing.
• Agentic AI solutions.
