Executive Director, Business Finance – Capital Markets

About the role

Our client, a leading international financial institution, is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead Business Finance for its Capital Markets division. Reporting to the CFO, you will provide strategic financial leadership, drive balance‑sheet initiatives and support profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior business and finance stakeholders to shape financial strategy for Capital Markets.
• Lead balance‑sheet management, capital optimisation and resource allocation.
• Develop and maintain product pricing and profitability frameworks.
• Oversee forecasting, budgeting, management reporting and financial governance.
• Provide commercial insights for business planning, performance management and regulatory initiatives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on key financial and strategic matters.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting and a qualified accountant designation (CA/CPA).
• Extensive experience in business finance, strategic finance, treasury or related functions within a leading financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of Capital Markets, balance‑sheet management, capital optimisation and product pricing.
• Highly analytical, strategic and commercially driven with excellent stakeholder management.
• Fluent Mandarin is essential.
