Executive Quantity Surveyor, M&E

About the role

AECOM, a global infrastructure consulting firm, is recruiting an Executive Quantity Surveyor for mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services in Singapore. The role covers cost estimation, contract administration and liaison with clients, consultants and contractors on MEP matters.

Key responsibilities

• Support various aspects of MEP services and carry out cost analyses and cost estimates for MEP services.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to calculate MEP project costs.
• Prepare and manage MEP contracts, including main and nominated sub-contracts.
• Measure and take off quantities for MEP work elements.
• Assess variation orders and prepare interim valuations.
• Compile and administer contract documents for execution.
• Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance of MEP works and prepare and agree final accounts.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors on MEP matters and attend meetings as required.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering from a recognised university or institution.
• At least 3 years of postgraduate experience in project management, cost estimating, tendering and pre- and post-contract administration of mechanical or electrical disciplines may be considered for a senior position.
• Applicants holding a degree in Building or Quantity Surveying and conversant with mechanical and electrical building services may also be considered.
• Responsible, self-motivated and enthusiastic, with good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Good communication and written skills in English.
