Fab Process & Equipment Engineer

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc. is hiring a Fab Process & Equipment Engineer in its Fab 10N/X facility. You will join a team of engineers responsible for process start-up, development and optimisation, product yield, quality and reliability, cost reduction, cycle time and productivity, risk management, and solving complex manufacturing line issues. The role also covers engineering operations such as wafer disposition and process release qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose and troubleshoot process-related problems using failure analysis, FMEA, 8D and SPC methods.
• Evaluate, promote and plan new equipment and materials, and coordinate process, equipment and material evaluations and optimisation.
• Implement improvements at process steps and loops, and take part in new process qualifications.
• Handle internal and customer audits and liaise with material suppliers to achieve best-in-class yield, quality, cost and risk results.
• Establish and improve process conditions and technology, upgrade process capability and reduce production cost.
• Set up process parameters for a range of semiconductor equipment and establish process management projects.
• Analyse data and perform root cause analysis to resolve process issues.
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to improve efficiency, quality and effectiveness, and share AI-enabled improvements with colleagues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science.
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking skills, and effective communication across all levels.
• Growth mindset, leadership ability and a track record of impact are highly desirable.
• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.

Required skills

• Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments and engineering statistical data analysis are advantageous.
• Digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI tools responsibly.
