Fab Support Technician (Pumps, Chillers, Abatement)

About the role

Micron is hiring a Fab Support Technician for its Fab 10N/X site. The role focuses on pumps, chiller and abatement systems and involves hands-on equipment support, shift supervision and coordination with production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Promote safety priorities and standards, raise safety concerns and supervise equipment performance
• Lead the direct-shift equipment team in preventive and corrective maintenance
• Perform administrative and supervisory duties for shift technicians: attendance, staffing and reviews
• Act as main contact between FAB personnel and the Fab Support group on production issues, and cover equipment, process and personnel issues during shifts
• Provide coverage as needed, coordinate shift contributions to TPM activities and foster problem resolution and feedback among Fab10 employees
• Assist with equipment installs, tests and commissioning
• Use AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and quality, and share AI-enabled improvements with the team

Required profile

• Diploma in any engineering course or equivalent working experience
• Strong mechanical competence and vacuum system knowledge with troubleshooting ability
• Able to use schematic diagrams to solve systems to component level
• Can follow procedures with minimal supervision and perform 12-hour shifts
• Good communication, time management and prioritisation skills

Required skills

• Intermediate PC skills, including familiarity with the MS Office Suite
• Baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy
