Facilities Electrical Engineer

About the role

Micron is looking for a Facilities Electrical Engineer to lead engineering, maintenance and the strategic development of on-site electrical systems at its Fab 10 facility. The role ensures the safety, reliability and optimal performance of electrical infrastructure supporting advanced semiconductor manufacturing, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commissioning, maintenance and optimisation of electrical systems from 230kV down to low voltage, including emergency generators, dynamic UPS and power quality equipment
• Champion environmental, health and safety compliance, conduct risk assessments and run root cause investigations using 8D methods
• Review scope, schedule and cost estimates for infrastructure upgrades and oversee design and construction
• Perform FMEA to remove single points of failure and lead post-incident reviews with corrective and preventive actions
• Drive capacity expansion, reliability improvement and energy efficiency initiatives
• Deploy SMART power systems, predictive diagnostics and digital tools, integrating AI-assisted tools responsibly
• Mentor electrical engineers and technicians through training programs

Required profile

• Master's, Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in high, medium and low voltage electrical systems design, maintenance and operations in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing is preferred
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking skills, effective communicator and demonstrated leadership
• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred

Required skills

• Proficiency in HV/MV/LV systems, ETAP software and IEC standards
• Familiarity with SMART systems and predictive maintenance tools is advantageous
• Knowledge of SPC, Design of Experiments and statistical data analysis is advantageous
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy
