Facilities Electrical Technician

About the role

Micron is seeking a seasoned and technically skilled Facilities Electrical Technician to support the operation, maintenance and enhancement of electrical systems within Fab 10, a semiconductor manufacturing site. The role ensures the reliability, safety and performance of the electrical infrastructure powering the factory, working closely with engineers and cross-functional teams on maintenance programs, troubleshooting and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities

• Ensure strict compliance with environmental, health and safety (EHS) standards across all electrical activities.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems from 230kV down to low voltage, including emergency generators, UPS systems and power quality equipment.
• Support commissioning and startup of new electrical systems and infrastructure upgrades.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems using structured procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and FMEA to identify and mitigate potential system failures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of electrical systems, maintenance records and compliance reports.
• Mentor junior technicians and take part in technical training programs.
• Support the deployment of SMART diagnostics tools and digital systems, and use AI-enabled ways of working where applicable.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical certification.
• Minimum 2 years in electrical maintenance and operations within semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Effective communicator with strong teamwork and documentation skills.
• Proactive, safety-conscious and committed to continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV systems, electrical schematics and safety codes.
• Familiarity with ETAP, IEC standards and predictive maintenance tools is a plus.
