Facilities Electrical Technician

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc., a leader in memory and storage solutions, is hiring a Facilities Electrical Technician. The role covers electrical maintenance and support across a wide range of systems, from 230kV to low voltage, in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure strict compliance with environmental, health and safety (EHS) standards across all electrical activities.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems from 230kV to low voltage, including emergency generators, UPS systems and power quality equipment.
• Support commissioning and startup of new electrical systems and infrastructure upgrades.
• Identify and fix electrical problems using structured troubleshooting steps or procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and FMEA to identify and mitigate potential system failures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of electrical systems, maintenance records and compliance reports.
• Mentor junior technicians and take part in technical training programs.
• Support the deployment of SMART diagnostics tools and digital systems to improve maintenance efficiency.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical certification.
• At least 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance and operations within semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Effective communicator with strong teamwork and documentation skills.
• Proven ability to solve technical issues independently and collaboratively.
• Proactive, safety-conscious and committed to continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV systems, electrical schematics and safety codes.
• Familiarity with ETAP, IEC standards and predictive maintenance tools is a plus.
