Facilities Operations Technician

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc., a manufacturer of memory and storage products, is hiring a Facilities Operations Technician. The role keeps the site's facilities equipment and systems running safely and reliably, responds to out-of-specification conditions and service requests, and supports the smooth operation of production.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and proper operation of facilities equipment and systems, monitoring them through FMCS or equivalent control systems.
• Respond promptly to out-of-specification or abnormal conditions affecting production or the site, and restore services quickly to minimise interruptions.
• Report abnormal conditions to the relevant parties in a timely manner and follow up on incidents or service interruptions.
• Support and implement operating procedures and risk assessments, and coordinate maintenance or installation activities on site.
• Accurately pass information to the next shift, complete shift routines, and assist in drafting SOPs, checklists and daily plant reports.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties, prioritise work during the shift, and serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
• Co-chair the Facilities Daily Operation morning meeting/pass-down with the Facilities Operations Engineer.
• Perform WAC regen and ACF backwash, complete assigned learning items and training, and review and approve work permits.

Required profile

• Engineering diploma in electronic/electrical, mechanical, controls and instrumentation, or a similar field.
• Prior facilities experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to work any shift on a rotating schedule.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivated and able to prioritise work.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work responsibly, and to identify and share AI-enabled improvements.
