Facilities Operations Transformation Engineer

About the role

Micron is looking for a Facilities Operations Transformation Engineer for its Fab 10 facility, which supports advanced memory and AI applications. The role leads several programs that improve team productivity and keep plant utilities and facilities services running 24/7 to support Fab Production, using data, automation and better operational strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Improve existing and future Fab 10 Facilities Operations programs, coordinating with Facilities system owners across all sites in Fab 10
• Lead Post Incident Review (PIR) processes and the Site Incident Prevention Plan to prevent supply interruptions
• Drive labor productivity improvement projects using business process improvement and automation
• Act as Area Quality Coordinator (AQC), leading quality improvement, problem-solving, quality champion and human deviation reduction programs
• Represent Fab 10 in Global Facilities AQC and Operational forums
• Perform Shift Lead duties, leading a team of technicians on compressed shifts
• Monitor and manage facilities equipment and systems (e.g., Life Safety System) via FMCS or equivalent, respond to out-of-spec conditions and restore services quickly
• Support the shift Emergency Response Team, implement operating procedures and risk assessments, follow up on incidents and coordinate with internal and external parties
• Manage and improve the work permit system, support operations meetings with the Facilities Operations Manager, prepare operation reports and act as backup for the Site Operations Manager if needed
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to improve efficiency and share AI-enabled improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking skills
• Effective communicator who collaborates across all levels, with a growth mindset and demonstrated leadership
• Interest in Facilities Systems, the semiconductor industry and Micron preferred
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus

Required skills

• Familiarity with data analytics and automation software such as Tableau, Microsoft Excel, Python, SharePoint, Power BI and SQL
• Baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy
