Facilities Technician

About the role

The Facilities Technician supports the Engineering team to keep all hotel plant and equipment operating smoothly at Hilton Singapore Orchard. Working under the supervision of the senior engineer, you will handle routine work orders, preventive maintenance and emergency repairs across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all safety, operational and management procedures.
• Maintain daily power, water, gas, heating and cooling systems.
• Inspect equipment logs, shift hand‑over records and ensure accurate documentation.
• Perform preventive maintenance on air‑conditioning, fire‑alarm, security and monitoring systems.
• Test and run the backup generator regularly to guarantee power availability.
• Carry out repairs in guest rooms, event spaces, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities.
• Monitor energy consumption and implement savings where possible.
• Track work requests, manage tool withdrawals and ensure timely completion.
• Work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• Understanding of large‑scale data‑centre infrastructure principles (power, HVAC, fire control, security, monitoring, network).
• Willingness to work day and night monitoring shifts for extended periods.
• Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, professionalism and a willingness to learn.
