About the role
This role is responsible for daily housekeeping functions and maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen of a nursing home.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in food hygiene tasks such as receiving deliveries, storing food, maintaining temperature, and preparing meals.
- Perform daily dishwashing, cutlery cleaning and weekly deep cleaning to keep the environment spotless.
- Handle chemicals safely and report any maintenance issues to the Operations Support team.
- Ensure kitchen supplies are sufficient for daily operations and keep work areas free of hazards.
- Collaborate with vendors for food receipt and work with the Centre Manager to audit kitchen facilities.
- Conduct plating activities when required.
Required profile
- Basic English proficiency to communicate with a diverse team.
- Service‑oriented and customer‑focused attitude.
- Prior experience in hospitality or food & beverage is preferred.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts.
