Family Physician – Primary Care Clinic

About the role

The Family Physician will deliver comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages at the Family Medicine Clinic, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, allied health professionals and support staff.

Key responsibilities

• Practice in line with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) Physician's pledge and Ethical Code of Conduct.
• Maintain professional registration through continuous medical education (CME) and stay current with medical developments.
• Apply evidence‑based medicine and clinical practice guidelines to all patient encounters.
• Diagnose, treat and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions across all age groups, including women, children and the elderly.
• Administer national immunisation programmes and conduct health‑screening and vaccination counselling.
• Provide primary mental‑health care and coordinate chronic disease reviews aligned with patients' goals.
• Perform minor procedures and prescribe appropriate medications.
• Facilitate referrals for services beyond the scope of the clinic.
• Handle administrative duties such as memos, insurer correspondence and medical reporting.
• Work with fellow doctors and clinic managers to ensure financial sustainability and improve clinical quality, including participation in Healthier SG and right‑siting initiatives.
• Contribute to organisation‑wide integrated care programmes.

Required profile

• Basic medical degree recognised by the Singapore Medical Council.
• Full registration with the Singapore Medical Council and Family Physician registration.
• Experience working in a General Practice or primary‑care setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Additional diplomas in Child & Adolescent Health, Mental Health, Sports Medicine or Geriatric Medicine are advantageous.
• Commitment to serving the elderly and interest in medical innovation and novel care delivery models.
