Field Installation Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Field Installation Technician to carry out installation, commissioning and fabrication tasks on industrial projects. The role involves travelling to various sites, working with hand and power tools, and ensuring work meets quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute installation, commissioning and fabrication work according to project schedules and quality standards.
• Operate hand and power tools for lifting, bolting, wiring, aligning and fitting components.
• Fabricate steel structures following manufacturing drawings and in‑house quality requirements.
• Record and submit man‑hour data for productivity tracking and project monitoring.
• Identify supply shortages, customer requirements or performance gaps and communicate them promptly.
• Prepare and submit quality‑control documentation for all projects.
• Inspect work performed by production teams or subcontractors to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Travel to job sites, unload and set up equipment, assist with inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Maintain tools and equipment, report abnormalities, and follow EHS, safety and 5S procedures.
• Provide feedback to supervisors on site issues and project progress.

Required profile

• Diploma or NITEC in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or a related technical field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in installation and commissioning of industrial or mechanical systems.
• Team‑player with the ability to work on‑site and adapt to changing project demands.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Steel fabrication and interpretation of manufacturing drawings.
• Wiring, bolting, lifting and alignment of equipment.
• Testing, commissioning and inspection of installed systems.
• Documentation of man‑hour data and quality‑control sheets.
• Knowledge of EHS, safety and 5S practices.
