Finance Executive – Procurement & Accounting

About the role

The National Institute of Education (NIE) is seeking a Finance Executive to support its Finance Department. The role combines procurement administration with core accounting functions, ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance with institutional policies.

Key responsibilities

• Administer NIE’s procurement processes, ensuring adherence to guidelines.
• Manage tendering and post‑tender activities, including publication, evaluation, award, contract variations, extensions, timeline tracking, and record‑keeping of insurance policies and security deposits.
• Collaborate with the Reporting Officer to improve finance and procurement workflows, documenting procedures as needed.
• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) accounting tasks.
• Respond to internal and external stakeholder queries promptly.
• Provide additional administrative support for finance and procurement functions when required.

Required profile

• Polytechnic Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in finance or procurement.
• Strong customer‑oriented mindset with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time‑management, planning and organisational abilities; capable of working well in a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines and adhere to timelines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of SAP (advantageous).
• Familiarity with Ariba procurement platform (advantageous).
