Finance Manager – Finance Operations & Controllership

About the role

Join SJ’s Finance team at the Jurong Innovation District campus as a Finance Manager overseeing finance operations and controllership. You will ensure accurate accounting, statutory reporting, and financial insight for a portfolio of companies within a global urban and infrastructure consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations across multiple entities.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing, preparing balance‑sheet reconciliations, cash‑flow statements, and bank reconciliations.
• Allocate and bill corporate costs to related entities.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to enforce financial policies and procedures.
• Review intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Liaise with AR/AP Shared Services for period‑closing, collections, and payments.
• Organise statutory audits, prepare financial statements, and work with external auditors.
• Handle tax matters, including quarterly GST filings and corporate tax compliance.
• Provide financial insight, monitor cash flows, and support management decision‑making.
• Develop and improve financial processes, systems, and policies for greater efficiency.
• Collaborate with Group Finance, Treasury, Tax, and Internal Auditors on ad‑hoc requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accountancy; professional accounting certification preferred.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
• Prior external audit experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment and as part of a team.
