Finance Manager

About the role

Brenntag is looking for a Finance Manager in Singapore. The role covers all aspects of financial management, including finance projects, regulatory and financial reporting, and the development of internal control policies and procedures, as well as stakeholder management and building the competency of the finance department.

Key responsibilities

• Reporting: prepare and close monthly reports on time and in full compliance with the Corporate Reporting Guideline and accounting standards, and manage corporate reporting of financial results using SAP, OneStream, GTC and GLC
• Ensure compliance with internal and statutory audits
• Assist with annual budgets, forecasts and capital expenditure plans for the finance cost center
• Internal control: ensure compliance with internal control guidelines, rules of procedure and delegation of duties, and raise concerns to the Regional Finance Director
• Tax: oversee tax matters, including preparing tax returns and handling tax audits with external advisors
• Treasury and risk management: oversee the treasury and risk functions relevant to the company
• Team and stakeholder management: improve the competency of the finance team and liaise with other departments

Required profile

• Preferred degree in accountancy or professional accounting qualification, with relevant experience
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in multinational corporations
• 3 years of relevant experience in local tax and tax computation
• 3 years in a Finance Manager role within a multinational corporation
• Meticulous, deadline-conscious and able to deliver accurate, high-quality work

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards
• Extensive experience with group reporting systems and SAP; OneStream reporting and advanced Microsoft Excel are advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal and workplace communication skills
