Finance Transformation & Project Support Associate (18 Months Contract)

About the role

Swiss Re is seeking a highly motivated, technology-savvy professional to support a key finance transformation initiative involving the decommissioning of an existing sub-ledger and the move to a new system landscape. The role sits at the intersection of finance, systems, data and process transformation, with an 18-month contract. It covers data integrity during the transition, report redevelopment and testing, documentation of new processes, stakeholder coordination, and Business-as-Usual (BAU) support such as quarterly close, reporting, audit activities and other finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile legacy and target systems and investigate and resolve differences with finance, IT and business stakeholders
• Validate balances, transactions, reports and key data sets during the migration
• Support redesign and rebuild of reports, gather user requirements and validate them against the target solution
• Assist in UAT, system testing and data validation, track issues and coordinate resolution
• Develop documentation for new processes and controls, update operating procedures and training materials, and maintain governance and audit trails
• Support BAU finance operations, reporting, reconciliations and analysis, and ad hoc projects, regulatory reporting and audit requests

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, information systems or a related discipline
• 1-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, reporting, finance operations, systems implementation or transformation projects
• Experience with financial data, reconciliations and reporting processes
• Experience supporting testing, system migrations or process improvement is advantageous
• Preferred: exposure to insurance, reinsurance, banking or financial services; ERP, sub-ledger or data transformation projects; process documentation and control frameworks

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Familiarity with finance systems and reporting tools
• Analytical, problem-solving skills and comfort with large data sets and detailed reconciliations
• Good understanding of finance processes, reporting and controls
• Quick learner who can work independently, with excellent verbal and written communication
