Oil Operations Support

About the role

Trafigura is hiring an Oil Operations Support person in Singapore. The role covers reconciling transactions, preparing documents for customs clearance and letters of credit, tracking shipping documents and supporting customer onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile and verify in-house system transaction details against recaps for all products
• Prepare and draft invoices and blank invoices for customs clearance purposes
• Prepare and draft letter of credit (LC) negotiation documents, including packing list and beneficiary certificate of origin
• Track and follow up with counterparties on the original bill of lading (BL) status daily
• Ensure all contracts are sent and received before loading schedules
• Compare documentation instructions with original documents to ensure consistency and compliance
• Carry out in-house system purchase and sales operations according to the operation Excel file
• Make sure invoices are issued, sent and received on time before the due date
• Arrange dispatch of original documents after the endorsed bill of lading
• Support Know Your Customer (KYC) processes for new customers

Required profile

• Minimum diploma holder
• At least 2 years of experience in similar positions or a relevant role
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Able to multi-task, work to tight deadlines and under pressure independently
• Flexible and able to build good working relationships with diverse groups and counterparties
• Meticulous and attention to detail
