Financial Accounting and Analysis Intern

About the role

Tencent Finance is looking for a Financial Accounting and Analysis Intern to join its team and gain hands-on exposure to end-to-end accounting and finance processes. The intern focuses on either General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Finance Operations, within a complex commercial environment. The company supports staff growth through finance training, mentorship, job rotation and certification support.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial entries.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing, including account reconciliations, financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
• Verify, process and manage Accounts Payable transactions, ensuring timely vendor payments and handling discrepancies.
• Support Accounts Receivable by assisting with customer invoicing, payment tracking and overdue receivables.
• Collaborate with teams to streamline Finance Operations and prepare documentation for financial audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy or a related discipline.
• Able to commit to a full-time internship for 6 months starting in November 2026 or January 2027.
• Demonstrated ability to apply accounting knowledge in practice, especially in identifying and resolving issues.
• Excellent written and spoken English; working proficiency in Mandarin is required, as about 80% of the role involves coordinating with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and regional teams.
