Financial Analyst – IS Department Finance Support

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to provide finance support for the Information Services (IS) department. You will deliver timely analysis, reporting, and budgeting assistance while collaborating with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts and assist in the annual budgeting process.
• Perform variance analysis (actual vs budget vs forecast vs prior year) and produce concise commentaries.
• Support month‑end close activities, including OPEX accruals, depreciation, and journal entry validation.
• Track CAPEX project costs, create WBS elements, and maintain related documentation.
• Generate cost centre reports and conduct analysis for IS business stakeholders.
• Assist in cost allocation, activity‑based costing, and basic ROI calculations.
• Develop and maintain financial models for recurring and ad‑hoc reporting.
• Respond to finance queries from cost centre owners and support audit documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 3‑5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis or management reporting, preferably in IT or shared services.
• Progress toward a professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel for financial modeling.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
