Financial Controller – APAC Region

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Financial Controller to own all controls and reporting across the APAC region of a fast‑paced, thriving international consulting firm. This highly visible role leads accounting, controllership and compliance for the region.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all elements of finance and reporting across APAC.
• Lead, guide, and develop a team spread across the region.
• Prepare, review and analyse financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS.
• Deliver the annual statutory accounts for the group (in IFRS) and ensure a successful audit.
• Manage subsidiary reporting and drive process/quality improvements to reporting packs.
• Promote a continuous improvement culture in the control environment and share best practices across the region.
• Ensure group corporate governance requirements are met.
• Act as a trusted partner to the senior leadership team across the region.
• Collaborate with tax, legal, HR teams and external advisors to ensure financial compliance.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience working for complex, international businesses.
• Preferably experienced in overseeing controls from a regional perspective.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS.
• Excellent leader, mentor and communicator.
