Financial Controller – International Accounting

About the role

Stripe is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its International Accounting team in Singapore. You will help shape the company’s financial reporting, drive process improvements, and support global growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close of US GAAP and local statutory books, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Own the end‑to‑end statutory audit process, preparing financial statements, technical memos and presenting results to the board.
• Maintain fluency with US GAAP and IFRS, researching and documenting accounting treatments.
• Collaborate with Tax, Transfer Pricing, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Regulatory Compliance and Legal on cross‑functional projects.
• Supervise finance outsourcing partners to ensure timely and accurate compliance filings.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including automation and AI‑based process enhancements.
• Prepare regulatory returns and stay current on accounting and tax regulation changes.
• Support new product and entity launches with technical accounting advice.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional experience in financial controllership or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Proven experience managing statutory audits and finance outsourcing.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
