Financial Planning (Balance Sheet Management) Intern

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting a Financial Planning (Balance Sheet Management) intern within its Global Corporate Banking Division for Asia - Financial Planning team. The team tracks and evaluates portfolio performance, allocates resources to support business growth and generates insights for management decisions, such as explaining historical data trends, validating strategies and forecasting. The internship runs from 11 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 and is based in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Support in-depth business analysis of portfolio exposures, producing insights that inform top-level management decisions
• Manage and run datasets and reports, maintaining data integrity across them
• Perform reconciliation of data and reports and carry out optimization
• Collaborate with other teams and countries on data requests and support

Required profile

• Business-oriented, able to work independently and in a team, and committed and flexible with tight deadlines
• Analytical mind with an inclination for problem solving and enjoyment of large datasets
• Open to candidates from any discipline
• Only Singaporean and PR students are eligible; the internship is open to students from Singapore universities

Required skills

• Interest in data systems and processes to help build internal tools (not essential)
• Knowledge of programming languages and analytical tools, and an understanding of financial processes, is an advantage
