Form Teacher

About the role

The Form Teacher is responsible for the overall pastoral care, discipline, attendance, well‑being and development of students in an assigned form class. This role acts as the main liaison between the college, students, parents and subject teachers, ensuring a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support students’ attendance, punctuality, conduct, academic progress and general well‑being.
• Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, parent communication and disciplinary matters.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding progress, behaviour and attendance.
• Conduct form/class meetings and student check‑ins to address personal development and class matters.
• Assist in organising orientations, examinations, school events, field trips and other student programmes.
• Support new students in settling into college life and encourage participation in activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Education, Teaching, Psychology, Counselling or a related field.
• Prior experience as a Form Teacher, Homeroom Teacher or in a similar student‑facing role is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Patient, approachable, responsible and capable of managing student behaviour professionally.
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple student‑related matters effectively.
