Frontend Engineer

About the role

ActAI is building proactive, AI‑native applications that simplify everyday workflows. As a Web Frontend Engineer you will create the core user experiences for products such as Chat, Notes, Calendar, Docs, and Sheets, making AI a seamless part of how users communicate, write, and organize.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement major web experiences across Chat, Notes, Calendar, Docs, and Sheets.
• Develop complex, real‑time interactions including messaging, collaborative editing, rich‑text handling, scheduling, tables, and spreadsheets.
• Build reusable frontend architecture and components that are consistent across all ActAI applications.
• Integrate streaming AI responses, proactive actions, and model‑driven experiences directly into product workflows.
• Own frontend performance, responsiveness, reliability, and accessibility across browsers and devices.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, backend, and AI engineers to turn prototypes into production quickly.

Required profile

• Strong experience building complex, production‑grade web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of frontend architecture, state management, browser APIs, and performance optimization.
• Experience with highly interactive products such as chat, collaboration tools, document editors, or calendars.
• Familiarity with real‑time systems, WebSockets, streaming APIs, or collaborative interfaces.
• Strong product and UI judgment with attention to interaction details.
• Ability to independently own features from technical design through production.
