Full Stack Developer (Java/JavaScript)

About the role

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to join a product‑focused engineering team within a leading technology and communications organisation. You will design and build scalable applications, working across both backend and frontend technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance scalable software applications and backend services.
• Design and build APIs and modular microservices.
• Create web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Improve system design, performance and reliability.
• Integrate applications with internal and external systems.
• Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with cloud and containerised environments.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and business teams on new solutions.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Java (Java 17 or higher) and Spring Boot.
• Front‑end experience with HTML/CSS and JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.
• Experience building microservices and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka.
• Familiarity with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Cassandra and SQL databases.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and strong problem‑solving skills.
