Functional Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Functional Project Manager to lead high‑impact strategic initiatives within the banking or insurance sector. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to translate business goals into actionable projects and ensure successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of strategic, business‑critical projects in insurance operations.
• Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to define priorities, roadmaps, and execution plans.
• Drive project governance, risk management, status reporting, and decision‑making.
• Translate business objectives into functional requirements and concrete deliverables.
• Coordinate across business, operations, and technology teams to ensure seamless implementation.
• Identify process‑improvement and transformation opportunities aligned with business goals.
• Manage project timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communication in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing strategic initiatives or transformation programs, preferably in banking or insurance.
• Strong functional/business project‑management background.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, including interaction with senior leadership.
• Experience working across business and technology teams.
• Strong problem‑solving, coordination, and delivery‑management capabilities.
• Experience in Agile or Waterfall project environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, financial operations, or insurance processes is a plus.
