Game ML Researcher Intern

About the role

Tencent's Level Infinite, its global gaming brand, is hiring interns for its data & AI group. The internship focuses on building AI bots in games using reinforcement learning and the latest generative AI technologies, and supporting the production of scalable and optimised AI services for those bots.

Key responsibilities

• Build AI bots in games using reinforcement learning and generative AI technologies.
• Support the production of scalable and optimised AI services for AI bots.
• Run experiments to test the performance of deployed models.
• Identify and resolve bugs that arise during the process.
• Research new approaches to improve model performance.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, machine learning, computer science or mathematics.
• Practical experience in deep learning, reinforcement learning or LLMs.
• Experience in video games, reinforcement learning and development with GenAI is preferred.
• Good team spirit and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python or other related programming languages.
• Proficiency in C++ is preferred.
