General Manager, Airport Operations (Singapore)

About the role

United Airlines is seeking a senior leader to direct all airport operations at its Singapore outstation. The General Manager will shape strategy, ensure operational integrity, and uphold safety and service standards across a fully outsourced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead management and strategic direction for United’s Singapore operations, aligning with corporate purpose and values.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operational, financial and personnel performance of the international outstation.
• Establish and enforce goals, standards, and cost controls to maintain service levels and safety requirements.
• Monitor performance against plans, initiate corrective actions, and justify equipment, facility, staffing and training needs.
• Coordinate and supervise contracted ground‑handling agents.
• Represent airport activities to host‑government agencies, TSA international field offices, FAA, ICAO, IATA and airline alliance partners.
• Direct all airport service lines including customer service, ramp, aircraft appearance, baggage handling, fueling and cabin provisioning.
• Ensure compliance with TSA security directives, GSC responsibilities and United internal security policies.
• Manage vendor relationships and on‑ground technology deployment.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in airport or aviation operations.
• Strong knowledge of TSA security directives, GSC responsibilities and international aviation regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage outsourced vendor environments and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Experience in financial and personnel performance management.
• Excellent stakeholder management with government, regulatory and airline partners.
