General Manager, South East Asia

About the role

Roblox is looking for a strategic and execution‑oriented leader to head its operations across South East Asia. The General Manager will serve as the senior external representative and internal orchestrator, driving growth, safety, compliance and ecosystem development in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver ambitious regional goals and strategy, overseeing day‑to‑day execution with local teams and partners.
• Act as the primary bridge between the Singapore office and Roblox headquarters, aligning product, policy, safety and operational priorities.
• Establish the local office as an early‑warning system for regulatory, cultural and market signals.
• Maintain uninterrupted operations across all SEA markets and address emerging public‑policy obligations.
• Lead SEA‑specific compliance initiatives in partnership with Policy, Trust & Safety, Legal and Product teams.
• Build and nurture strategic relationships with regulators, rating agencies and media to mitigate risk.
• Travel to HQ in San Mateo during the first six months to set foundational alignment before transitioning to a long‑term base in Singapore.

Required profile

• Seasoned executive with a proven track record of running complex, multi‑country operations in a major international region.
• Experience operating in a global matrixed organization, providing dotted‑line leadership while country leads report solid‑line to global functions.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to act as a spokesperson with governments and partners.
• Demonstrated success navigating highly regulated or politically complex environments.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in additional regional languages (e.g., Bahasa) is highly desirable.
