Global FE Planning Modeling Engineer (SNR)

About the role

Micron is hiring a Global FE Planning Modeling Engineer (SNR) to act as the central contact for its manufacturing network. The role calculates and presents the capital impact of process changes to senior leaders in Manufacturing and R&D, connects parts of the business to drive manufacturing and cost-saving execution, and develops new tools to speed up, optimize and refine planning and reporting. The position is based at Fab 10N/X.

Key responsibilities

• Lead network tool utilization strategies and benchmark performance to optimize deployed capital.
• Lead and communicate improvement and implementation plans to all relevant levels and functions in Manufacturing.
• Optimize the capacity of installed equipment and lead site and tool-level optimization studies for efficiency.
• Collaborate with partners to understand future tool and process roadmaps and assess the network capacity impact of process changes.
• Improve financial analyses before capital equipment purchases by automating metrics, optimizing process flexibility, sharing capacity and repurposing equipment.
• Use AI-assisted tools and insights to improve efficiency, quality and effectiveness, and share AI-enabled improvements with colleagues.

Required profile

• Masters' or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a business or quantitative field (Finance, Economics or similar), or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in a fab or semiconductor environment.
• Experience turning complex, ambiguous problem statements into structured solutions in a multi-functional setting.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized and adapt to changing processes.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, recommending actions and reporting to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Team player able to build multi-functional relationships.
• Capacity analysis, business analysis or process analysis experience is highly beneficial.
• Willingness to travel and work outside standard hours.
